If you want to configure a Linkideo connection from a Windows XP client computer you only need what comes with the Operating System itself, it's all built right in. To set up a connection to a VPN, do the following:
On the computer that is running Windows XP, confirm that the connection to the Internet is correctly configured.
You can try to browse the internet
Ping a known host on the Internet, like google.com, something that isn't blocking ICMP
Click Start, and then click Control Panel.
In Control Panel, double click Network Connections.
Click Create a new connection in the Network Tasks task pad.
In the Network Connection Wizard, click Next.
Click Connect to the network at my workplace, and then click Next.
Click Virtual Private Network connection, and then click Next.
If you are prompted, you need to select whether you will use a dialup connection or if you have a dedicated connection to the Internet either via Cable, DSL, etc. Click Next.
Type "Linkideo VPN link" or any other description you would like to appear in the Network Connections area. You can change this later if you want. Click Next.
Type the host name : pptp1.linkideo.com (or another one, check your configuration detail here) Click Next.
You may be asked if you want to use a Smart Card or not.
You are just about done, the rest of the screens just verify your connection, click Next.
Click to select the Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop check box if you want one, if not, then leave it unchecked and click finish.
You can now connect to your VPN using your username (email) and password or cancel and connect later.

Configure Linkideo with Windows Vista
If you want to configure a Linkideo connection from a Windows Vista client computer you only need what comes with the Operating System itself, it's all built right in. To set up a connection to a VPN, do the following:
On the computer that is running Windows Vista, confirm that the connection to the Internet is correctly configured.
You can try to browse the internet
Ping a known host on the Internet, like google.com, something that isn't blocking ICMP
Click on Start, Control Panel, then Network and Sharing Center.
On the left hand side under Tasks, click on Set up a connection or network.
This will launch the Set up a connection or network wizard.
Select Connect to a work place as shown below, click next.
Click on No, create a new connection, then select next.
Select Use my Internet Connection (VPN), click next.
In the Internet Address field, type in pptp1.linkideo.com (or another one, check your configuration detail here). In the destination name field, name the connection for example, Linkideo VPN
Type in your Linkideo provided email address and password in the appropriate fields. Click on save the connection.
After clicking Connect, if prompted to select a location for the NU VPN network, select Public Location (the park bench).
Connecting to and Disconnecting from Linkideo
To connect to or disconnect from Linkideo, click the network icon in the system tray, and select Connect or disconnect
Select the Linkideo connection and click Connect or Disconnect.

Configure Linkideo with Mac OS X
If you want to configure a Linkideo connection from a Mac OS X client computer you only need what comes with the Operating System itself, it's all built right in. To set up a connection to a VPN, do the following:
Go into your Macintosh hardrive and then Applications Folder. Double-click on Internet Connect.
Click on the File menu and select New VPN Connection.
In the next window, select PPTP and click OK.
In the next window, click on the Configuration section and select Edit Configurations fron the drop down menu.
In the next window enter the following information:
For Server address, see your subscription email
For Account Name, type in your Linkideo username.
For Password, type in your Linkideo password.
Click OK.
You have successfully setup your Linkideo VPN connection.
Configure Linkideo with Mac OS X 10.5 and 10.6
If you want to configure a Linkideo connection from a Mac OS X client computer you only need what comes with the Operating System itself, it's all built right in. To set up a connection to a VPN, do the following:
Go to Applications -> System Preferences
Click on the Network icon
Click on the "add button" in the bottom left corner
Select Interface : VPN
Select VPN Type : PPTP
Insert a name
Enter the server address : pptp.linkideo.com
Enter your username (email)
Click on Authentication Settings...
Select password and type the password given in your confirmation mail
